How Many American Millionaires

ONE MILLION new U.S. millionaires just in 2000 alone,
bringing America's total to 6,850,000 millionaires.

Two thousand seven hundred forty new millionaires per day
Can you imagine?

Another 17,000 new millionaires week after week after week
It's here, NOW. Someone in the U.S. will double his/her income in the next hour. If you're not one of them, hush up and pay attention. Be grateful that those who are doing it are nice enough to share their high-powered shortcuts with you.
If you're NOT living your dreams, kindly pipe down and learn from those who ARE.
If you examine how these people get wealthy, the first two facts are revealing, and immediately useful to YOU:
  • Lottery millionaires plus lawsuit AND athlete millionaires AND entertainment millionaires, all added together, are less than 1% of all our US millionaires!!
  • 80% have little or no college education, let alone a degree!

About 4,275,000 of those who became million-dollar-per-year income earners between 1992 and 2000 took something they already enjoyed doing, and focused four or more hours per week finding a way to get paid for it. How complicated does it need to be for you to realize how powerfully this will affect you this month?

What do YOU love to do? THAT'S your personal ticket to supersuccess!!
Doing what you love, and finding ways to get paid for it:
this is inarguably the largest source of wealth in America.
How many rich in America? We have 271 of the world’s 563 known billionaires, along with six thousand and eight hundred groups of a thousand millionaires per group! This doesn't even include those who are merely worth a million, just those who are earning a million or more per year.
How do these people do it? I asked a hundred, then dozens of hundreds, one by one, how they did it. I kept hearing the same answers over & over & over again. Surprisingly, few said, "hard work." The most common answers amounted to nothing more and nothing less than shortcuts they'd taken years to appreciate.

Roughly nine of ten people who read these words are smart enough to know exactly what to do and how to do it. They are also far too.... profoundly stupid to act upon the information they already possess.

Those who act... are the wisest of all.
Those who act upon what they know... are the wisest of all.
Knowing is secondary to doing.
You already know that excellence cannot occur accidentally. When did you last earn a reputation for being great at something? When did you personally get reaaallllly busy? Every single human skill, every person who enjoys a reputation for having great skill -- without exception -- can point to one thing: repetition. It is the mother of every human skill.
Enumerating out loud and in writing what you want is the magical first step.
Can you tell us in one sentence what you most want? If you don't know where you're going, you'll most likely end up somewhere else.

People who don't have written plans for their lives almost always serve a man who does.
You just might read that last sentence again; it goes deeper than you may be recognizing.

We already know that the human brain cannot even BEGIN to function without set, defined goals. Punching someone else's clock? Guess you're serving that person's dreams and goals, aren't you? It IS possible to use your time more efficiently so that, if you ARE investing the majority of your work hours serving someone else's written plan (that's what we call a "business plan" while creating and serving your own written plans at least a few hours per week. A few minutes per day is enough to demonstrate that you are NOT in the 93% category of miserable, mostly unfulfilled people.

Look at your own life truthfully and your picture of your future will be clearer. Destiny and destination are two words from the same root. What is your destination this year?

What is your destination this year?

What is your destination this year?

Many hundreds of millionaires, one at a time, told me what they wanted in ten words or less. This alone is a shortcut to making your dreams come true. Only when you invest a solid five minutes considering how you can personally profit with this shortcut will you find the faster, better results you may have only wished for up until now. Just shut up and think. Ask how you can profit from this immediately, and you will.

The most common physical shortcut amongst them? Almost every one cited daily and/or weekly written notes. In the course of individual interviews by phone, shared meals, etc, millionaire after millionaire referred to a written list of what they variously referred to as "daily to-do lists," goal sheets, day planners, etc. There is no doubt that writing it instantly accelerates the achievement of just about anything you could want, pro vided you're willing to ask people for help. This is a phenomenally powerful shortcut you'll benefit from within a day or three. The one minute it takes to write them down each day is repaid quickly, and many, many times over.

They ask for what they want. They ask. They ask more people, and they ask people more. This is far and above the single most powerful shortcut on earth. It works better than anything that will ever appear in your mind throughout your entire life. Proof will be found in the next few hours as we see how many people you ask for help today, and how many times you ask each person.
From birth to death nothing will ever compare to the power of this one high-powered Shortcut:
Ask more people, and Ask people MORE.
It is the fastest, most effective shortcut in human history. Its power is magnified when you ask for what you want. Fast boost in results? Bet on it.
You already are betting your reputation on it: what you do today tells everyone how much effort you give. It's actually the primary determinant of what you're known for. Today you get to use the resources you already possess to increase them at a vastly accelerated rate by asking more people more times.
These thoughts an d shortcuts are the words of those who are doing it. The horse’s mouth. Period. Shortcuts are currently working for millions of people earning eighty thousand bucks a month; they'll work for you.

You’re living in the richest land in the single richest era in the history of Man.

The precise moment you start looking for the benefit or opportunity that exists in every event of your life is the identical moment you begin colliding with one of the ten or twenty great opportunities that come in a lifetime. This one technique produces consistently better results. Millionaires and billionaires intentionally ask better questions and consistently get better answers. Maybe you're not among the 93% who ask the same old stupid questions. We can only know by what we see you doing today.
Seven percent of us consistently ask better questions,
which explains clearly why we consistently win.

You ask yourself many questions every hour. Ask better questions. Dare to ask yourself more empowering questions, within this minute. That means THIS NEXT 60 seconds, or you LOSE.
.
If your IQ were 50 or 60 points higher, which mine is, you'd be better equipped to understand that your reputation is not built on what you're capable of doing. Your reputation is not even based on what you're definitely going to do. Your reputation is based exclusively upon what you've done --- what you've done during the individual minutes that comprise your repute. The only possible way you can demonstrate whether or not you understand this incredibly powerful, fast-acting Shortcut.... is by how you demonstrate it. Get it? You can't merely TELL us that you understand it... you can only demonstrate it.

All that hogwash about how you're going to get busy "just as soon as..." is exactly that: hogwash. Bunk. Prevarication. Baloney. People who say they're going to do something 'just as soon as....' rarely ever take the first step. Again and again we see between seven and ten percent of the populations asking better questions. Are you surprised to learn that it's the same seven to ten percent who are IN the top seven to ten percent? You already know as well as I do that the people in the top ten percent are not always smarter, at least many of them don't seem too bright, do they?

If they're in the top ten percent, three things are perfectly certain:
  • they use at least one or two MORE minutes per hour than you do, investing those minutes into something that they enjoy doing.

  • They persistently look for ways to get paid doing what they love to do.

  • They ask more people for what they want.

Now that we have millions of Americans earning more than ten thousand dollars per week, isn't it time for you to pay attention to how they're doing it?
Not merely thousands of millionaires; rather, millions & millions of millionaires.

Are you paying attention? Most have little or no college. They shut up and do! They do what they love, and get paid for it.

What about you? Do you tell the world, or worse, yourself, that you know how to do it, yet repeat whatever it was you did yesterday? In order to improve a result, there must be an improvement in effort. That's simple enough even for you, isn't it? Change the effort, you change the result. Better effort or lesser, your results will be as close as what Vince Lombardi meant as he coached more championship teams than anyone in football history:

"Our rewards in life are always in direct proportion to our commitment to excellence, no matter what human endeavor."

In this very day everyone around you sees you trying... less or more than they are, less or more than you tried yesterday. Give it some thought, since it applies to YOU right now.

Those who act upon information... are the wisest of all. They also tend to have more smiles & toys. Getting it through your head that you can do it, and that you're worth it, is the huge, first step; the true breakthrough step.
We'll teach you the little powertricks and techniques along the way, and even magical, sizzling words, sentences, and questions that produce faster, better results. All of these techniques and shortcuts enjoy a multiplied, even exponential increase when you simply stop complaining and giving reasons why it "can't be done" ... ... and start listing ways, ON PAPER, for how to go about getting it done. Do you clearly understand that knowing it means little until you begin DOING it?

Sometimes your best first step is nothing more complicated than grasping the enormity of having more than fifty thousand new millionaires every month... ... and even more so when you understand that 6 of every 10 new millionaires do it through a home-based effort of four or more hours per week... ... followed by your creating a mental video of precisely how your life would be, will be, once you join the so-called millionaires club.

No need to quit your job or school: identify what you most enjoy doing, and find a way to get paid for doing it four or more hours per week... most often and most pleasingly accomplished through a business that YOU own, that YOU decide how to grow.
Act as if you're smarter, you quickly become smarter.
Act the way you want to be, you become the way you act.
This works quickly, and consistently.
Now please close your mouth, open up your wonderful mind, and create just one question in the next 25 seconds that will advance your desire today.

One question. Now.

If you're anywhere NEAR as smart as you believe yourself to be, it is not enough to know that dreams are almost perfectly impossible for those who refuse to write them down with a date; a list of resources and people to seek help from, and a step by step plan for making it happen.

It is not enough to know that dreams with a date are now called goals, just as it's utterly insufficient to know and understand that writing these things on paper produce faster, better results. Nope. It's just not enough to know it.

Contrary to what you've probably been taught (by people who have NOT pursued their own dreams, in all likelihood), knowledge is NOT power... ... ... it is nothing more than potential power.

We're asking you, right now, to answer a simple question:

If knowledge is only potential power, in exactly...
...precisely what minute does it become power?

That's quite correct: the exact and precise minute...
that your knowledge is put to use.

For you, and for me, that means this this THIS minute in time.

Please close your mouth, open your wonderful mind, and create just one question in the next 25 seconds that will advance your desire today.

Do it now

Time Efficiency - Maximizing Minutes

There is one intensely important moment you are invited to participate in with a very focused attitude of determination. If you let it pass, you lose more than you may realize, perhaps forever. Grab it, and the rest of your life will be affected positively.

No matter how often you're told, you still believe that your death is in the 'far-flung future,' don't you? Even when we learn of other people dying, by the dozens or the hundreds, we're certain that it'll never be us. True, or not?

From nearly 700 Americans who will die just from being given the wrong medication in hospitals this week alone or the 8000 Americans who will die this week from tobacco use, to the unexpected phone calls carrying tragic news of a car crash, heart attack, or some freak accident, let's agree that at some point in time a newspaper will note your passing. You will be, for the most part, described in a single sentence. Having the intelligence to recognize that you have a starring role reserved in the form of an obituary will effect a sizeable influence on the actual content of that one last mention in the papers.

You will be described in glowing terms, or you won't. It's one or the other: you lived with passion & excellence, and others noticed it; or you didn't.

Those are the only two choices. Not surprisingly, the choice will prove to have been yours. The challenge here is that you still operate under the entirely mistaken impression that your eventual obituary will be determined by what you do next year, next month, or even the day after tomorrow.

Your perception is not consistent with reality. As Henry Ford said,
"You can't build a reputation based on what you're going to do."

You'll find powerful, life-changing impact in those words for the seven of every one hundred people who understand them. Do you understand? Go ahead, read it again. Understanding it enables you to boost just about every facet and feature of your life, personally, professionally, socially, sexually, financially, and healthwise.
The prolific presence of this critical moment is matched only by the rarity of its use. Make no mistake; it's the defining moment of your life, because it will define and describe who you are and how others view you. You'll surely agree it's a moment you can remember for as long as you live, and the moment which everyone will look back upon and remember most about you. It happens to be the moment that will reveal the actual words of your eventual obituary in one newspaper or another.

It's a moment worth thinking about. We'll return to it soon enough.
W. Mitchell survived having his face burned off in a gasoline fire. After 2 years, he was back in the mix, succeeding again. He ran for Lieutenant Governor of Colorado with a button that said, "Vote for me; I won't be just another pretty face in the governor's mansion."

If that wasn't enough for ANYONE to deal with, he then barely survived a plane crash, which left him paralyzed below the waist….so he let them take off his useless toes to create new fingers (the old ones had also burned off). Now get this…. he got out of the hospital… AND STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN!! Even without the use of his arms and legs he seems to be getting more out of life than, well, than 93 of out every 100 who read these words. He repeatedly identifies the resources he can use in this moment.

You'll undoubtedly nod your head and say, "Yep. Yep. How true. We really can do what we most want in life". You'll then return to your daily routine and do about as much today as you did yesterday. As proof, just look at the most recent 100 days of your life, and maybe even the most recent 1000 days of your life, where little has changed in terms of your effort levels.

Almost exactly 7 of every 100 people who read these words, although they usually have limited formal education, are smarter than the other ninety-three. If you're one of the seven, you're smarter because you understand, at a gut level, that if W. Mitchell can look past what he's lost, and focus each day on what he has left, then you can, too, and will. He's got a successful radio show in Colorado. What are YOU doing today to get ahead? In the words of the great James Earl Jones, "Shut up, shut up,SHUT UP! If you really knew better, you'd really DO better, wouldn't you? Don't tell us; show us. Better yet, show the most important person on earth, whose face can be found in your bathroom mirror.
The daily habits of Brian Dickenson really call out for attention. Because his neck muscles no longer transmit instructions from his brain, Brian Dickenson's head is supported by a brace. The only movements he can make are with his facial muscles, which still smile, and with his eyes. A camera in his computer calculates his gaze from the way his eye reflects a beam of infrare d li ght off of a blown-up screen with a keyboard on it. He looks at the keyboard on-screen, and the computer types any letter he looks at for more than half a second.
He became that one in ten thousand struck by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, known as Lou Gehrig's disease. It destroys nerve cells in the brain & spinal cord, preventing muscles from receiving brain messages. Because it doesn't affect the mind, Brian had to witness the gradual paralysis of his arms and his legs, his ability to swallow, to speak, even to breathe on his own.

He's already passed the point where 95 percent of ALS victims simply choose to stop breathing. But Brian Dickinson has chosen to keep on breathing & to keep on writing. His focus is what brings him to continue working. How does his life, and daily efforts, compare to your own? Answer the inner you who wants to be known for doing something better than others. Don't answer me; answer yourself. How does Brian Dickenson's daily efforts towards excelling at his work compare to yours?
With a lifetime passion and career centered on words, he takes more steps each day than you do. Granted, they're tiny steps. Still adds up to more than yours, doesn't it? He's pursuing his life's passion. It would appear that, in the game of life, this physically paralyzed man is kicking your ass from here to Rhode Island. He simply refuses to quit. His columns are becoming familiar to an ever-growing audience although he battles a most mysterious, lethal disease. Every day he reaches out for one more try. What's your excuse again?

What can we add to this? Details of Christopher Reeves, & his own inspiring story of struggle, determination, and success? The way Vinnie Pazienza took a broken back, and 'permanent paralysis,' stood up, walked… ran… and returned to being a champion professional boxer? Reminders of the teenage girl with polio, & braces…you know, Wilma Rudolph and her gold-medal perfo rmances at the 1960 Olympics? The fastest woman in all of history… who wasn't ever supposed to walk, let alone run!
Ricky Henderson broke 2 records: Stole more bases than any other player… and got tagged out (trying to steal bases) more than any other player.Only a fool would even think of ascribing this to coincidence. Think better! When you do something more times than anyone else, you will invariably break two records: striking out more than you ever did before, and hittin home runs more than you ever did before. This is an unchanging rule of life, covered by a number of axiomatic laws. It hasn't changed for me, please don't delude yourself that it might ever change for you. Try it ten times more, strike out more, and kick booty more. As a mathematical certainty, it will never change in your lifetime. Since it never changes, you can quickly, even immediately make use of this and benefit within minutes, hours, or days.

Faster than that you want? You'll have to wait for a miracle, just like 93 out of every 100 people, who allow others to decide the course of their lives. Otherwise stop running your mouth and get busy immediately. You are one=conditionally guaranteed to get phenomenal results within hours or days of the precise moment you believe that you will find a way to do it, whatever it takes. The one condition? Ya gotta believe, and if you knew so much, you'd be living the dream life now, yes, or no? Strikeouts lead to home runs.
Many baseball players have lifetime totals of 300 strikeouts. Three men, added up together, struck out literally thousands of times: Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, & Mickey Mantle!! As you may well know, these men also hit the most home runs. Babe Ruth struck out 1330 times for his 713 home runs. Hank Aaron was close behind. Mickey Mantle actually struck out 3 times for every home run he hit!!
Ty Cobb, with 90 broken records, and an amazing lifetime average of .367 was, far and above all others, the greatest hitter of all time, although he only succeeded one time for every three tries!! Think about it. Stop nodding your head and agreeing. Stop and think about this!!
We know for a fact that the way you spend your minutes is an accurate movie of how you're spending your life. It's the mental movie everyone will play when they get the news that you've moved on to your so-called final reward. How you use your individually precious minutes is how you're now using your life. This and nothing but this will determine the words that make up your obituary.
Who cares what you are capable of doing? Get real.
What we DO care about is w hat you're willing to do. Today. Now.
We both know that there are people around you who are better at what you do than you are. You may be surprised to learn that most of them will help you get up the ladder, provided you ask for their help, by making sure they see you busting your hump to do your best, and/or actually telling them you want to be more like them and asking if they'd consider being your mentor.
Try remembering that if they're doing it better than you, they know it better than you. Pride goes before the fall, doesn't it? Never in history has a human being succeeded fantastically... ...alone.
No one. Ever. That equals "never." From Bill Gates and Mahatma Ghandi to Alexander the Great and Michael Jordan, Socrates and Tiger Woods, Tony Blair and Grandma Moses -- they all had role models, they all had teachers.
People who know everything can be taught nothing.

Those who stretch their current day's activities to include at least a few minutes of learning to do it better carry enormous advantage over everyone around them who is NOT using those few minutes. Even just five minutes per day getting better at anything from laughing or loving to pushups or pizza-flipping, brain surgery or politics: there are no known exceptions. Some of the things I love to do are: playing piano or guitar, painting, singing, laughing, physical affection, helping others, reading, and working on computers. Whoops, let's also include eating: I really love eating. So, I make it my business to try and do each of these things every day, even if only for a few minutes. Do you think there might be a connection between my skill levels... and the fact that I make it my business to do these things each day?

What a fantastic opportunity for you to use this instantly productive SuperShortcut:
FIVE MINUTES PER DAY.

Think about when you personally get to that certain point where you find yourself looking back at the hundreds of individual months that have flown by and you're asking,
"Why didn't I ____________?"

Ask more people for what you want,
and ask each person more times.
Be precise in what you ask for, as precisely as you should identify what it is you actually want at the end of it all, and during the effort itself. Even if it's just an hour a week, don't let your life be just getting through the month without going broke and exhausted. Identify something that's worth developing a reputation for, so mething you'll enjoy having ten months's experience at, then twenty, and a hundred, and beyond. Long before you get to that point, you'll "suddenly" notice that your income has risen repeatedly. Money follows excellence, not the other way around.
Pick up a book, go to a museum, ride a go-cart, identify the career that you would most love to be a role model in. This is the most important day of your life, the only day in which to build your present and future reputation. Seize this day with gusto, it's filled with 1,400 separate minutes of exquisite, opportunity-filled minutes!
Before you can Carpe Diem , which is Latin for "Seize the Day," we begin first with Carpe Momentum, which means "Seize the Moment"

Seize the moment!! It's yours, you fool!!
This
is the day, and this certainly is the moment...
... just for you.

Seize it!

Grab your life with both hands. Carpe momentum!!
Before it has passed, into the past.
Do it Now!

Moving Past Obstacles with Shortcuts

Have you heard of the young girl, living in abject poverty with her mom; without even an indoor toilet, summer or winter? Little visible hope for improvement? Not exactly at the top of her class scholastically, the only thing she was sure of was that she HAD to change her way of living. But where is a girl of 15 going to turn?

As we've seen so often before, a loving, supportive parent can help work miracles, because just two short years later, Jewel became one of America's best-known singing stars, earning millions with her guitar and voice. What have YOU done lately to feel great about you and your potential? What you have inside of you means very little, if anything... ... until you bring it out for us to see and hear, hm?

Some people think I’m a bit harsh in stating that 90 to 95 percent of the people on this planet are losers who should contribute to resource conservation by conveniently walking off into the ocean. It’s hard to argue with my belief that 90% of the people in this country are losers, NOT because they don’t have more, rather, because they DO have more
... & they actually decide not to use the resources they already possess. How foolish!
I’m sure you’re not one of these people. You’re living to your fullest potential, aren’t you? I mean, YOU certainly wouldn’t flush your life down the drain in a day-by-day attempt to make it to the weekend, would you? YOU’RE not the kind of person who watches TV two or three hours per day, are you? No, NO!! YOU are the kind of person who can state out loud exactly what it is that you want most, and YOU are the kind of person who is willing to describe your dream out loud and then write down just 20 ideas on how you would START to work towards making it happen, right? Whoops; no need to say; your actions speak for you, don’t they?

Let’s say you want to learn to juggle, or type fast, or get along better with your spouse or your kids/parents/co-workers/boss, etc.; or maybe you want to learn a new language, or a new career, or double your income in this next 12 months... No matter what it is that you want, I’m telling you, with an unconditional guarantee, that you can actually make 8 out of every 10 dreams come true in 100 days or less, using the same, identical, superpowerful shortcuts that are used by almost every top producer on earth..

The only reason there are shortcuts is because the world’s top producers took entire lifetimes developing them through trial and error. We already know that humans are capable of achieving anything that they can conceive. It’s not what you’re able to do; it’s all about what you’re willing to do, in the next 60 seconds. Use your power to act in this, the most important minute of your life.

Instead of looking for more and newer resources, why not invest ten or twenty minutes this very day listing, on paper, the resources you NOW have access to. List resources you can squeeze more efficiently. You just might surprise yourself at the results. From your local library or Internet access, to business and academic organizations; from friends and co-workers, to relatives and former schoolmates, you already have far more of a network of resources available to you than you seem to realize. Ask better questions, today. Fact is, you're never to old to improve your circumstances. Go for it. If you don’t, you will continue serving someone else’s dreams and goals. There are no exceptions: we are cybernetic, or goal-oriented, and if you don’t work at your goals, you are certain to work for someone else’s. The horse's mouth knows more than the other end. Which end would you rather get it from? In fact, please tell us at which end of the horse can we generally expect to find you? Whoops, no need to tell us with words. Your actions are so loud, we can't hear a word you're saying. Please remember, we cannot tell what you understand based on what comes out of your mouth; only by your actions. Is there even one human being exempt from this?

This is the most powerful day of my life. That statement is the only valuable, measurable way we can tell if I'm smarter than you. Not by what I know; rather, by what I do with what I know. While also certain that this is the single most powerful day of your life, one can only wonder if YOU know that today is genuinely the most powerful day of your particular life. Before you say a word, please remember, if you knew better, you'd do better. Hush up.

This is the only day to break records, please don't tell me what you're going to do tomorrow. Henry Ford may well have published some of the most hate-filled statements of the 19th and 20th centuries. That doesn't change the power, the immediate power found in his statement that you cannot build a reputation based on what you're going to do. He also stated repeatedly that he was looking for people who were ignorant of what couldn't be done. Go ahead and unscramble that last sentence, and you'll find that you're well on your way. If you do in fact figure it out, but don't take action within minutes, then we'll clearly have proof that you didn't really figure it out beyond that first, simple meaning. You remember Forrest Gump? "Stupid is as stupid does." The opposite is also true.

Where you look is where you go. Your brain is the ultimate flashlight. Point it, baby, that's where you're going, even if
"no one ever woulda believed it."There are few known exceptions for every million or so applications of it. Where you look is where you go. The body follows what the mind looks at the most, and the most ardently. That's how you get better at throwing darts, typing faster, baseball or basketball, juggling, playing piano, tying your shoelaces, and every other repetitive skill that a human works at. Your mind repeatedly issues the command for the body to do what is necessary to achieve the proper arc, angle, and more. The body follows what the mind commands, and in every single instance, the quantity and quality of result is determined by the quantity and quality of focus: how little or how much you focus your mind; and then how little or how much you focus your body.

From birth to death, every pleasing skill you possess, and some perhaps-not-so-pleasing all have two things in common: quantity of focus, and quality of focus. Period. Intelligence is nothing more, and nothing less, than the application of knowledge. Not merely possessing it; the knowledge must be put to use before it is demonstrated and proven to be actual intelligence.

This means taking specific command and control, just as you would if you managed three or three hundred people on a daily basis. You would put to use the action, the tool, called 'focus.' You would tell them what you need for them to do, specifically why you are paying them a salary, correct? You would tell them what you expect, and, if you're like most managers, it's fair to anticipate that you'll tell them how you want or need them to do whatever it is you're paying them for… …even if it means training them step by step, correct? In a nutshell, you would be taking charge. You as the Commander of Focus. If you were offered a job today managing three or three hundred people, could we count on you to try to do your best? Great. Let us, simply enough, employ your talents towards your newer and better directions. Fair enough? The same skills you're willing to use to successfully guide others can and will bring fast, long-lasting results for you and those you care most for. It is a fact. Let's make good use of that fact.

Multiply your control of, and your results from, that magnificent brain of yours, your brain containing more than a million feet of wiring to connect it's one-hundred-billion-plus 'mini-computers.' Take charge of your mind with the tiny, simple, method of answering a key question.

Here it is. You have five minutes to sit in a silent room thinking. There are a million people watching and listening. You are being graded on one thing only: where and how fully you can describe yourself at your fullest development of potential.

What will your answer be? You can dramatically impact your health, your relationships, your sex life, or earn limitless thousands of dollars by putting it in writing within the next 60 seconds and I promise you you'll be travelling right through a full 15 to 20 percent of turning it into reality. Just from the act of focusing with a pen and paper. A dream with a date is no longer a dream. It is now, in business at least, as well as sports, education, entertainment, and more, called a goal.
At this point we must acknowledge, in all fairness, the statistically-supported data that only seven out of every one hundred people are smart enough to do it. That's the simultaneously funny and tragic part: we don't mean smart enough to accomplish it. We already know that anyone smart enough to understand these words is smart enough to accomplish it. No, we mean smart enough to shut up and do it, even if it's chickenscratch handwriting on a restaurant napkin.

One of the very few things I've found to be impossible is something that I would love to see you try and successfully deny or refute. I have found it impossible to find a single role model, any superstar you are capable of naming in any human pursuit from science or entertainment to any other field of endeavor; in all of the world's history, who didn't FIRST and repeatedly, experience tragedy and/or massive screwups.

That's right. It's a fact. From the guy who struck out more than anyone in baseball history and the man who lost 7 political elections, or the middle-aged, divorced Grandma who moved to another country to the crippled young female polio victim who needed braces and crutches to walk, (Babe Ruth, Abraham Lincoln, Golda Meir, and Wilma Rudolph, (went from braces and crutches to running faster than any woman before or since)… right up through today, there are no known exceptions. Every one of life's great winners are those who've sustained stunning losses. A squeezable lemon is a profitable thing to be handed.

Just to clear the foregoing up for the uninitiated, Babe Ruth not only struck out more than any other man in baseball, he also hit more home runs. The guy who struck out more than anyone else except for Babe Ruth… believe it or not, was Hank Aaron, who ended up hitting more home runs than Babe Ruth. And just in case that wonderful light bulb of pattern perception hasn't flashed its coruscating brilliance upon you yet, the third most-often struck out of baseball players was none other than Mickey Mantle, who was also the third-greatest home run king.

Naysayers and Shortcuts to Winning and Succeeding

We know at least one in every crowd. You know one or two of them yourself. We call them "naysayers." No matter how terrific an idea may be that they are presented with, these people invariably have something unpleasant to say... about the idea, and/or the person who presented the idea. Day after day, you'll find these self-styled critics putting down someone else's thoughts, ideas, and actions.

I'm impelled to observe that I cannot remember meeting one single "naysayer" who had achieved whatever it is they were derogating... nor one successful person who had this type of negative attitude... not once in all of my travels. A fellow famed for his wisdom wrote, "We are offended by a fault in someone... only after, or because, we have identified that fault... in ourselves."

Perhaps this is why we are often unwilling to open up to potentially valuable advice and suggestions from others: it's easier to do so than to face up to the fact that we haven't gone ahead and fixed up that particular area of our lives. After all, if we downgrade the suggestion, or the person issuing it, we successfully avoid looking at our own performance AND effort levels. We'd rather fix the blame than the problem, yes?

Rich Little, high school football star crippled in an accident, realized how much he disliked being with himself. Asking questions, he found that most people turn on the radio or TV, and otherwise avoid spending time with themselves & determining WHAT needs fixing or improving, and creating a plan for doing so. This encouraged him to develop a course on learning how to get along better with self AND others, how to better prepare for job interviews, & how to set plans for one's life; but when he sought financing from various foundations, they all laughed at his multi-page applications, pointing out that he had no college degrees, or other "credentials" for justifying a grant. FACT: 95% of the people who read this would "take the hint" after 30 different foundations rejected their applications. But not Rich. He waited until seventy five foundations said "No." That's when he REALLY buckled down & got busy. Thirty more turned him down...40 more, & yes, fifty.

A total of a hundred and forty foundations called to tell him it was a "no go." Do YOU have the fortitude to keep on going in the face of so much failure? Rich did. When the Kellogg Foundation called to tell him "Sorry, Rich, there's just no way we can see you starting this type of program for eighty thousand dollars," his heart sank yet again.

The voice on the phone continued. "Rich, it seems to us that a program like this just wouldn't work with eighty thousand dollars; so we're giving you $150,000 to start with."

Last I heard, Rich Little's program was being taught in more than 5,500 high schools around the world!! He simply had no time to pay heed to the "naysayers." There's a profitable lesson for all of us here.Mom used to tell us kids, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all."The next suggestion I hear? I think I'll just stop without saying much, beyond "Thanks," or, "I see." If the advice or suggestion seems to apply, or have value, I'd be silly not to take some action upon that advice. If not, I have no trouble remembering the phrase, "If it doesn't apply, let it fly."

More importantly, I'm inclined to look at whether or not the person issuing the advice or suggestion has recently, or ever, applied the recommendation themselves. If so, I'm certainly inclined to ask for some more details... because I've no wish to be a naysayer.

Whenever she'd hear one of her five children degrading or making fun of someone else's efforts/dreams/input to a subject, my mother would quickly say, "Don't knock it... unless you can do better."

Isn't it funny how our mother seems to get wiser... as her children get older?

Popcorn Power

Karyn Johnson, aged 15, living in Harlem, being poor & ugly, was a fine example of 'loser.' With a baby daughter, no husband, she had to go on welfare, although she hated the idea. She and her child had to eat. This young teen mother, not even old enough to drive, became a drug addict. She did unspeakable things to get drugs, often with her daughter present. It got so bad that they both ate out of garbage cans.

Five long years of welfare. Finally put the kid into daycare, and got a job putting makeup on people in a local playhouse. Didn't take too long to lose the job.
Got another job putting makeup on people in a funeral home. Ghastly work, but she was hungry, and determined to make it on her own. Lost that job, too. Karyn talked to her 5-yr old daughter, and said, "Honey, let's start a fresh life, changing everything." She began simply enough: taking a step EVERY day.
They moved out of NY, and started again. Three years -- just about one thousand days -- later, after taking just about 1000 more steps than you, she repaid NY City's Welfare Dep't every penny she had accepted. Karyn Johnson had the same tool as you: a decision to ask better questions, and take at least one step every day. Period. She tapped into the amazing power of NOW. It's the reason why, after she became the highest-paid woman in Hollywood, you might have recognized the new name she adopted... Whoopi. She simply asked better questions, and produced better answers. What about you?
What will you do TODAY ?
We have blank lines here exclusively for your use.
Whoever you are, please humor me and fill them in.
I know that 90% of you will fill in the blanks later, right?
You lose, because we already know that you won't really do it later.
It's the reason your bank account is the size it is.
10% of you are smart enough to fill them in now. You can be certain that you will reap measurable benefits in the coming days and weeks
So, you want to have more _________________________

and learn how to get _________________________.

Until you actually pick up a pencil & jot some answers,
please don't read any further.
Believe me, it would be a waste.
For those of you who wrote any detailed answers, or who do so in the next few seconds...... ...I can and will UNCONDITIONALLY guarantee that those who WRITE answers in the lines above by page's end will see marked, observable progress within days of today; you are proving that you are willing to take a step. Dozens of the greatest minds in history have observed that the smartest people are those who tap into the deep, unstoppable power found in the word "now;" not merely once, but many times many times over.
The power of "NOW" starts kicking in as soon as you want: 3 days, 20 seconds, or 10 minutes.
If you practiced something for 1000 minutes, would you be better at it than if you did not practice? Dumb question, right? If it's so dumb, what was the last thing important enough for you to practice at for 1000 minutes? If you can put down on paper just one thing you'd really really like, I will give you a magical secret that will bring you closer to your dream, in just days or minutes than you've ever been in your life all added up to this minute. No kidding. Here's the magical secret, and it is more powerful than you have ever understood up until this minute: First, write down one or two things that you really, REALLY want:
________________________________________

_________________________________________

Now use the back of your paper to write down 5 to 10 ideas, crazy or not, for turning it into reality. Just 5 to 10 ideas.

Do this for 15 minutes per day for 20 days.

That's right, just a few minutes of your life each day for 20 days. Every single human being who does this radically and forever changes the way they think, because the results are so accelerated, so compelling, that you'll never forget what you accomplished during this 20-day period: it's called 'genius.'

Albert Einstein spoke about it extensively, that genius is nothing more than the "infinite ability to take an infinite number of pains." It genuinely matters not a whit if you use this genius inside of you for mental tasks, musical tasks, financial, spiritual, emotional, sexual, academic, or any other human effort you can think of: just do it. Do it and see for yourself. Please, please, do NOT venture your opinion to any of us; we're really not interested in your opinon until AFTER you've done it... ... at which time you can be sure we'll hear each word you offer.

Loooooong before you get to idea #300, you will see some amazing things going on in your mind, and your life. Hey, it's your choice. I'm only here to remind you of the incredible powers you developed as a child to learn how to tie your shoelace (I had a smart dog, a German Shepherd, yet I never once saw him chew gum, or heard him say, "Excuse me" when he burped). Your brain executes many thousands of decisions just in the course of tying your shoelace!!
WAKE UP! It took you a whole lot longer to learn how to speak English or to drive a car than it does to create a list of what you want to do in this next year, and how you can go about doing it!!
Creating sentences, & deciding what words come out of your mouth? Show me a computer that can create and state a given desire. As you read these words, you are right now capable of performing many thousands of tasks, from steering a bicycle, to talking your way into or out of something. Every computer chip on this planet all added up together is but a fraction of the 100 billion-plus neurons you've got; each capable of a million functions.
Your Reticular Activating System is nothing more than a fancy secretary. It filters roughly eight million bits of information per second, deciding what to send "Upstairs" to the conscious mind, and what to send "Downstairs" to the memory storage department. When you decide that you're hungry, the Reticular System searches your brain for all stored info: "Burger King? Chinese? Do I have $$? Do I have time? What do I feel like eating?" You suddenly remember a new pizza place a mile back. You saw it when you passed, the Reticular System decided it wasn't important enough to send "Upstairs," so it simply stored the information until you needed it again. It searches AND FINDS, the info we look for, and brings it "Upstairs" so we can make a conscious choice. With a phone to your ear, taking a drink, slipping off of your shoes: you're making thousands of tiny, yet super-sophisticated decisions. Find a cat, or a giraffe that can hop into the car & go buy some milk!
I promise you, no matter who you are, from U.S. President of to that guy in the group home: Ask a question with repetition, and belief that you'll produce the right answer, and you will always, and without fail produce many answers to that question. You are now in control of a huge power to tap into right now. True power. Power is the "ability to act ." You have the equipment for first-class thinking. What you know is generally distant from what you DO with what you know.
At all times, you are using billions of separate computers within your brain that know how to work together. Since you use such incomprehensibly sophisticated methods for understanding what a "$" sign means, automatically and with little "conscious" thought, don't you see the logic in tapping into those same powers, ON PURPOSE, for accomplishing things you haven't done yet but would like to? Reality is proof that The chances of it happening accidentally are not as good as when there is specific and direct effort toward achieving it. That's agreeable, isn't it? Tapping into the power of NOW is your first step. Even if it's just writing down precisely what you want and why you want it, it only takes minutes for things to happen. You think I'm kidding? Prove me wrong. Prove me right. With deeds, not words. Just stop talking and DO IT!
Ooookay?
Just 5 - 10 ideas per day until you have 100 ideas.
100 ideas will be sufficient to make this the single most productive year of your life, guaranteed every single time.
This is one of the ten most powerful shortcuts ever developed in human history. It's better than a pile of cash, because aiming this shortcut at money-making will produce many piles of cash.
For example, let's say you want a date with the gorgeous creature next door.
Here are some ideas.
1. Write a love letter to the object of your dreams.

2. Dial 202 456-1414 and leave a message asking our President to make a phone call on your behalf.
3. Sprinkle Hershey's kisses from your front door to the front door of... well, you get the idea.
It doesn't matter if the ideas are reasonable or not, easily available or not. The primary purpose of doing this is to exercise your problem-solving muscles. Just as squeezing a tennis ball one more time every day or so will add up to highly-developed squeezing ability, so too will this writing exercise, known as a popcorn session, produce measurably better ideas and solutions for you, quickly and effectively.
By the time you produce 100 ideas, the odds are that no less than seventy will be ultimately inappropriate, ten of the 100 distantly workable, another ten or fifteen possible, and just two or three that will be pure, complete genius, and I do mean genius. Whether you have a second-grade education or a couple of master's degrees, it is an unchanging fact of human life that taking the few minutes per day necessary to come up with 100 ideas within five days will always produce at least a few wonderful, life-changing solutions. Always.
Do it.The most important part of this exercise is that you specifically include every idea you can produce, from those that are workable, to those that are seemingly impossible. No facet of this shortcut to getting much, MUCH better results is more important than the sheer number
Apply just this one power shortcut for 14.4 minutes pr day. Within 22 days you will have ample evidence that your income is increasing or about to. Within 100 days, you should see AT LEAST a doubling of your income.
It is hoped that you perceive the value of an unconditional guarantee that these shortcuts are universally applicable, from developing new skills for learning guitar, getting top grades with MUCH less effort, a new language, making more money, running five miles... or learning to tie your shoelaces, by far the most difficult thing you've ever done. Use your resources more through shortcuts like these, and then opine. What you know in your mind means far less to any of us than what you DO with what you know, hm?

Guaranteed Shortcuts To Success

As mentioned in Masters, if you are NOT a master, or a millionaire, at SOME human effort, there's distinct benefit in remembering why you have two ears & only one mouth. Clearly, they were designed to be used twice as much... just as the eyes should be used twice as much as the one mouth, correct? Many tens of thousands of living Masters and Millionaires can attest to the value YOU receive from acting upon this powerful information. If you knew better, you'd do better.
That's worth reiterating:
If you knew it better, you'd do it better.
These are the shortcuts of those who do.
Answer five simple questions in detail within 72 hours of now....IN WRITING... and you are unconditionally guaranteed to reap enormous impact on your life in days or, if you're really dumb, weeks. President, or janitor, first-year student or Supreme Court Justice, housewife or household word: this program works for every human being who answers in detail. HUGE results at a highly accelerated pace.

Because they are the shortcuts and techniques of our universal role models, literally thousands and thousands of masters and millionaires, and most of our 7,200,000 thousand millionaires, the power gems in these pages comprise the most guaranteed system of success on earth. They are from what your Grandpa might call the horse's mouth. You can tolerate a quote from a beloved grandfather: "If you don't get it from the horse's mouth, maybe you're spending too much time at the wrong end of the horse."

Remember, these techniques and shortcuts are so powerful, so very quickly, that the people who use these 'magic tricks' cannot possibly fail; they can only stop their forward motion when you fail to practice them. You don't quit because you failed. Without exception, you fail because you quit. Each and every one of them works quickly, and dramatically... ... mathematically and precisely in proportion to how much you use them.

Having shortcuts at your disposal are useful only insofar as you remember that the word 'useful' means 'full of use." With persistence, these shortcuts produce astonishing results, quickly. We produced an average of about 10,000 new millionaires per week in America for 7 years.

Look at every single supersuccessful person in history. EVERY SINGLE ONE! They all have certain words or practices that are common to all of them. They fit what Grandpa called, "the horse's mouth. If at this moment you are not at the highest point of your life that you ever dreamed you'd be, or enroute, be quiet. You can get it from the horse's mouth, or be accused of spending too much time at the wrong end of the horse. Get ready for quick results.

Although America currently boasts seven MILLION and eight hundred thousand individual millionaires, more significant is the fact that approximately six million of these people aren't merely worth a million, they report annual incomes in excess of a million dollars! I have trouble visualizing seven hundred thousand millionaires in one country; how can there be yet another ten GROUPS of seven hundred thousand people who are currently earning a million or more dollars per year?

When we're reminded that money is, at best, second or third on the list of measurements for success, think of all the other joys available in life. You already believe that earning a million per year is much harder than, say, learning a new language, or getting along better with certain family members, or harder than getting some passion back into your marriage or significant relationship. If many hundreds of thousands of living Americans can learn to earn a million or more per year WITHOUT A DIPLOMA, then how many "easier" tasks are there that you can master? Of what use is it to you personally to know that more efficient use of resources you already possess will bring fast, powerful benefits...if you don't DO it?

What is YOUR reputation? Right now, hush up, and answer: What was the last thing you did to earn the respect of your peers? _______________________ How long ago was it?

This is what your reputation is based upon. As the publisher of Who's Who Worldwide liked to say, "Yeah, but what have you done for me lately"?

Minutes from now, I propose that we ensure that we have the basic shape of the blueprint that will bring you from where you are right now, to a better place in this life, whether you're 17 or 87. When we answer two questions in writing, we are leapfrogging past the 90% of us who
'know what needs to be done, I don't need it in writing. It's the single biggest reason why they ARE the bottom 90%... ...but that's not you, right? YOU have a daily or weekly list of SIX THINGS I'M DOING NOW, right again? Please remind yourself in the next few seconds that your actions tell us more than your mouth.

Hilga Crooks climbed Mt. Everest for the first time at the age of ninety!! That's not all, she went bottom to top seven more times in the next eight years. She found a better place in life. She arrived at ninety and asked, "What can I do that's more exciting than listening to my arteries harden and await the death that is presented to every human?" She reminds us of the middle-aged Grandma, raised in Milwaukee, living in Philadelphia until the divorce in her late 50's. Most women in such a position ask "Why me?" Mrs. Myerson decided to ask, "How can I help?"
Moving to the African continent, she worked on communes into her late sixties.

She was urged to run for office, and was first elected Prime Minister of Israel when she was 70! Mrs. Myerson, known as Golda Meir, found a better place in life, by asking better questions, and persistently writing better answers down. Why be an aging divorcee waiting to die when there are things to be done, goals to pursue. Do you really think she went from being a middle-aged grandma with rolled-down pantyhose to first being elected to lead a country at the age of 70 WITHOUT shortcuts? ... Hello? Just like Hilga Crooks, and so many other role models, she made more of what she already had by using the shortcuts of all our masters and millionaires.

You will too, in the next few days, by simply closing your mouth, opening your ears, and following the shortcuts. Just do it with me, for ten simple minutes per day, no matter WHO you are, or what you do. You are about to embark on a mathematically unchanging, and therefore deliciously repeatable journey of hearing the word "Yes" more often. Can it be any simpler?
For 386 months, I've read an average of thirty to firty books per month. Because of those I've read repeatedly, the total is probably under sixteen thousand books, not including encyclopedias, thousands of magazines, etc. Either way, that's probably more than you and everyone you know all added up together have read, or at least a hundred college grads all added up together, and still quite a bit more. More influentially, I've had the blessings to have personally interviewed and/or broken bread with more than five thousand exquisitely accomplished people, from Olympic Champions and thousands of upper corporate and institutional leaders, including over a thousand who went from poverty or other challenges to fantastic wealth. People like John Leonis, CEO of Litton Industries (the world's largest manufacturer of surface naval warships, not to mention microwave ovens, and so much more) and Mr. Anton, NYSE Director, or the former Chairman of the Federal Reserve or CEO of Macy's or Zayle's Diamonds, and thousands of other true achievers. Without any doubt there are shortcuts that these inspiring top achievers use on a regular basis. This is how they accomplish more in one year than you do in twenty: they simply shut up and do more of what they already know.

There's no doubt that when a younger person comes to you and says, "I really respect and admire you, can you help me with__________________?"

We both know you would have plenty of advice, plenty of suggestions, wouldn't you? Well, why not ask yourself for a bit of help? That might even spur you to asking other people to help you get what you want. Again and again we all prove each day which end of the horse we're getting information from, hm? Please remember, America now has seven million millionaires. At Who's Who Worldwide, where my job was to interview the leaders of America, I realized that in order to interview every person in the top one percent of each field would mean interviewing more than two and half MILLION people who rank in the top one percent.

After several weeks of interviewing a dozen or more per week, you get better at it, and you can have a dozen different millionaires on the phone in any given day. By the time six and eight and ten months have gone by, and you hear the same exact shortcuts and techniques and sentences being repeated in so many different conversations and interviews, you begin using them yourself, even as you think, "Yeah, yeah."

Until you find yourself quickly learning guitar and piano, and how to interact with men worth hundreds of millions of dollars... and how to get even them to say "Yes," and here comes the most important part: successfully encouraging them to say "YES!" more than half the time! Is your brain in next gear yet? Can you imagine you personally being able to get top-level decisions makers, and even low- and mid-level decision makers, to say yes to you again and again and again?

You want to talk about shortcuts? Find a dozen and more people who are top, TOP-drawer 'closers,' men and women who are paid fantastic sums because they are experts in getting people to say yes, and do nothing more than listen to them and record everything they say and do.
  • Between 80 and 90 percent of the time, you will hear them use virtually identical sentences and tones of voice.
  • They ask up to eight times for what they want.

They studiously avoid any disagreement whatsoever. They are not asking to the customer to buy the product so much as they are asking them to believe that the salesperson is presenting a value to the customer first, and the salesman second. A vital part of this is avoiding conflict. Agreeing, then resolving together.

Prudential Insurance Company, with approximately 100 successful years in the past century, have formally studied top closers since 1917. One of their studies of salespeople, achieved in conjunction with Princeton University, determined that in no less than 48% of all sales interviews, the salesperson leaves without ever asking for the sale.
This is perfectly parallel to life, where in no less than 48% of your opportunities to get what you want, you don't even ask for what you want, because you think you're smart enough to know in advance that you will hear a negative response.
2) Every time they hear what is called an objection, they do what half of all salespeople never ever do.* When they hear the objection, the first thing they do is agree with the objection. They then use the objection -- are you ready for this?-- as the specific reason why the other person should say yes. It's a fantastic technique, and usually works at least once in the first three or four times you try it out. The phrase I've heard and used myself most often is, "Yes, sir, that's how I feel too, and that's why our solution may have special appeal for you." Then, offer two solutions, and leave him or her with the choice of those two. Don't ask IF she wants, ask her WHICH she'd prefer.
Please, stop being so smart; you're outthinking yourself.

That's the first place we can make an enormous difference in these next three to five days of your life. You commit to asking more people for help in getting what you want, by simply asking each one of them more times.
Do you understand the simplicity of this? The only possible way that anyone can tell if you understand is by seeing you do it. Your worded opinion has no value until you have experience in that area... enough experience to earn a title such as beginner, intermediate, advanced, or expert.

You and ONLY you decide when you become a beginner, an intermediate, an advanced, then an expert, no matter what human effort you mention, from stacking dominoes to getting people to say yes. The single largest advance you will enjoy is based on who you're getting your information from.

Your hair just may stand up straight when you begin realizing the enormous impact you always get simply by asking more people more times each. It is the single most powerful magic trick you can instantly use for faster, better results in any human effort, from brain surgery to politics, guitar or piano playing, raising children or bicycling, ad infinitum, which means never-ending, limited only by your personal imagination. Having read an average of one to three books per day for more than eleven thousand days, three sets of encyclopedias, nearly twenty thousand books, five thousand Internet hours, and so much more, there is no possibility of refuting the fast effectiveness of this greatest power shortcut ever known to man.

Stop and consider this: from the day you're born to the day you die, you never ever obtain or attain anything until you ask for it. Yes, or no? Whether you're asking yourself to squeeze out that one more pushup, or asking the girl at the counter for a quart of ice cream, everything you ever get is the result of your asking for it. That's why you asked your mom for that ice cream cone so many many times when you were a child... ... and when she persisted in saying no, what did you do? You went to Daddy, of course, and/or Grandma, Grandpa, Sister, Broth... on those occasions that you wanted that ice cream badly enough to try tears, pouting, shouting, wheedling, you persisted until you got it... and on those occasions that you did NOT want it badly enough to pout, shout, etc., you gave up after one, two, or three tries... ... and you didn't get the ice cream.

If you decided to use just one one=hundreth of one percent more of your brain, you might consider doing so using this magical, fantastically effective shortcut and using it more beginning today, wouldn't you? Question is, WILL you?

In the next ten days, like every ten days of your life, you will be asking people (including yourself) for certain things. Should you bother to keep track, most people will say yes to you on the first try, especially salespeople, gas station attendants, etc. When someone says no to you, find creative and different ways to ask that person no less than seven times. You will be astounded with your results. When you ask once and hear the word no

An effective comparison is found in sales. One of the longest studies done on top sales produces found that roughly 48% of all sales calls end without the salesperson ever asking for the sale, for a variety of reasons. Yet with every one of the producers in the top ten percent, they would take every single no they'd hear, and try to find out why they were hearing a no, so that they could ask again, a different way, resolving the concern of the buyer. Empirically speaking, those people who ask each person seven times will generally hear up to four times as many yesses. This SuperShortcut is so simple that you glide past it every day. USE IT! It works fast, and will double your results in anything you wish... ... at a far, FAR higher rate of acceleration than you're getting today. A quick look at the Forbes Magazine list of the 400 richest people in America, a mind-grabbing 251 of them have been stone cold broke -- more than once!! When you include the 6,800,000 Americans who are currently earning eighty thousand dollars per month or more, we find again and again that they simply ask more times for what they want. They ask more people, and they ask people more.

These incredible supershortcuts and techniques are brought from the mouths, the words, and deeds of thousands upon thousands of extraordinarily successful people, using a broad, universally agreeable definition of success:
Measurable results.
Every human task fits this. We can modify this definition, never eliminate it. The day-to-day progress towards mutual benefit. Whatever YOUR definition of success is, there's a way to measure it in your field of interest, correct? We'll identify precisely where you are on the map, and where you are determined to be in 100 days, and 1000 days. I'm proceeding on the assumption that you can identify at least one thing, if not more, that you need to be world-class at before you die.
Without a doubt, the single most important thing you can do in the next sixty seconds is to state, out loud, your determination that you can and will be world-class at ____________.
If you truly don't know what you'd pick from a genie granting you three wishes, or even just one wish, keep reading, by the time you're done the seed will be planted for you to water, and allow to germinate. It will flower. You see, it's part of the human condition that everything we do from birth to death has only two causes: pain or pleasure. It is the motivation for every thought and act we commit to in life. Whatever it is you're doing, or thinking about doing, is to avoid pain, or gain pleasure. For some people, even these two most primordial, basic functions get confused. If you're not too screwed up, there's still hope for you, provided you clam up and get busy on this day, before you next sleep. Fair enough?

Let's put it out on the table and clarify why we are spending time together. If you're reading this, I've been paid in cash or satisfaction. I've done my part, that's how you've come to do some of your part --- getting to this page, this sentence.

I do want to be famous, as long as it's not in my lifetime. I've had a taste of minor celebrity, and didn't care for the blaring, glaring, obnoxiously intrusive spotlight. Even with the success of this endeavor you're now reading, my identify remains shielded because this program is one of those rare ones: it's really not about me selling books or tapes, it's about you becoming a superstar in your life, whether or not anyone else knows it. That's up to you to decide.

I've read repeatedly where more than four thousand millionaires in the past century have directly credited Napoleon Hill for their becoming millionaires as a result of his unique
"Think and Grow Rich."
It's common knowledge that more than a thousand lower and mid-level employees at Microsoft became millionaires because of Bill Gates' vision. Many thousands more made a million or more dollars from stock in his company.
Larry Ellison, at Oracle, and other men, have been credited with directly creating hundreds and hundreds of millionaires.

My most ardent personal goal is to have my work used as guidelines for superbly effective shortcuts two and three hundred years from now. What can I tell you? I believe I'll observe it from somewhere beyond, hopefully what we call heaven.

It's impossible for these PowerGems and SuperShortcuts to fail. Only we can fail to use them. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to take over as pilot of your ship. You're the boss. Stop delegating so much authority to people whose face you don't shave, to events you didn't shape.
In a nutshell, it's your turn. The only true value I get is for you to close your mouth, open your eyes and ears - to those who have done it better than you- and will continue to do it better than you until the moment you begin doing as they do.
It's one of the most basic facets of science. Duplicate an action enough times, and you will assuredly duplicate the results of that action.

Every time you read something in these pages that strikes the "Aha!" chord inside you, jot it down!! Print it out. Put it on the wall and say it out loud five, ten, or a hundred times before you eat three more meals. Do it again tomorrow. Take any one or more of these PowerGems and memorize them until the meaning of the words soaks all the way through. You'll understand more of the benefits even as quickly as a day or two.

Jot down those that seem tailor-made for you to gain benefit. Please remember that the entire point of this book is for you to use shortcuts that produce results quicker than you're now obtaining.
Please don't complicate things . Keep it simple. Every shortcut you take brings you one step closer. Write in the margins, write on the lines, just please don't be a moron and stop writing. The more you write, the more you make.
The more you write, the more you make.
The more you write, the more you make.
Even if you only use a fraction of what's in here, there are dozens of shortcuts that are as good as tailor-made, just for you, in YOUR particular career field, whether you're a household word, or housewife, a Harrier jet pilot or a hooker, a typist or a tyrant: this is the best day to create a useful map, recipe, blueprint, because even more convincing than my own use, or my students' successful use of these high-powered shortcuts: Name 1000 role models of this generation. Each of them uses most or all of these Shortcuts of masters and millionaires. They ALL begin in writing.

Stop leaving it to other, lesser people to do. If you are not an acknowledged master or millionaire in your field, you have absolutely no right to a licit, valid opinion on how to do it successfully. There are people who pursue their highest calling with passion, and there are people who do not. We already KNOW what you are.... because of whatever you've done on a day to day basis for years now. It is the final dividing line, the shortcut to understanding the most critical, instantaneous forward motion toward supersuccess: those who know what to do, and those who shut up and do it.

Just like the thousands of Winners I've interviewed, and thousands more I've studied, your life is perfect proof of virtually every word in this book. Stupid people are those who know exactly what to do; smart people are those who shut up and do it. Most people get only one life to live. Is it fair for us to say that you personally will probably only live one life? If you only have one of something, don't you want to treat it differently than you do something you have many of? That life, just like a piece of bread or lightbulb, is made up of smaller components that are combined. With bread, it's the smaller components of flour, water, and heat. With the light bulb, it's a piece of wire, a couple of supports, a wire band, glass.
With life, it's the smaller components we call "seconds." Just as we can take the light bulb, and add it to other items to be part of a truck, the individual seconds of your life, and mine, and everyone who lives and breathes, those seconds become hours, days, weeks, months, and years. Add up all the items, and the total is called "My Life."

Because we add different amounts of different ingredients, the final product is also different. Since you or somebody else paid for this book, it makes sense to use it. In the next five minutes, let's draft out a proposed plan for your life. Yes, you. Five minutes. Write in the margins if you have to. PUT IT ON PAPER. It is one of the most compelling of all the shortcuts of power: it must be written. Never mind what's in your head. Does no good until it's outside of your head, under your control. Write all over this book. For your sake. Scribble ideas and wishes in the margins. USE IT!!

Everything important you ever do in your life you plan, from weddings and holidays to interstate travel. In minutes, we begin drafting a plan for the most important journey of all: YOUR LIFE... day to day. Stop and think about it: ever been to a wedding? I would suppose that no less than 95% of all weddings go off wonderfully. Every wonder why? Think there might be a connection to the fact that the wedding or other affair was so carefully planned? Even the color and folding of the napkins or type of lettering on the invitations to the honeymoon suite reservations, et alia: the event is planned, on paper.
It's broken down to smaller steps, correct?

Would you even dream of trying to make a three-day deadline to travel 1500 miles without a definite, clear, written plan, sometimes referred to as 'a map;' sometimes referred to as 'Give me the directions?" Of course not. You make the deadline specifically because you know in advance just where you were going, you find out which road to take, and then you persist, even when you get lost, run out of gas, or suffer other obstacles. True, or not?

When you come to a red light, you stop your car (hopefully). At that moment, your forward momentum has stopped. In fact, your trip has come, literally, to a halt. Do you end the trip? Do you turn around and go home? Well, before you sneer, stop and consider how many times in your life you may have taken a first step, even a second, third, or ninth step towards doing or acquiring something, and suddenly your trip came to a halt. Proving once again that ninety-three percent of us are too stupid to act upon the knowledge that 100% of us possess, you quit. Because you quit, you failed, not the other way around. Are we on the same page here? You did not quit because you failed doing it. No, you failed because you quit doing it. Let's change that today. I believe in you enough to take two years off to folter 40,000-plus pages of research, for you to use.
In any and every worthwhile thing you personally have ever accomplished, and repeated at will, it is exclusively because you knew precisely what you wanted, you knew what you had to do to get there , and you did it as many times as it took to get it done. Now, we get to use your skills for higher achievements, with results appearing as soon as the next hour or less... of YOUR life.

Just get the recipe correct. Like a corrected map or blueprint of your home, we work backwards, live forwards. You would not bake a cake without a specific, QUANTIFIED recipe. You would not dream of driving to another city without a map. You would not consider building a house without a blueprint. How could you possibly think of treating your life as something not worthy of building, rather than just taking as it comes?
What do these things have in common? They are written, and they are capable of being measured by QUANTIFIABLE smaller steps. Period.

---- Precisely (meaning quantify precisely) what do I want?

---- What four smaller pieces can I break this into?

If needed, go ahead and break it into five smaller pieces, or even 10 or 20 if you wish. Until you put it in writing, you're just a talker. Proof? Well, you SAY you understand the value of written planning for a wedding, a birthday party, a complicated journey, the building of a house....
now we get to prove to the world that you understand that your life itself is the most important journey of your life, and that your life needs a map, too , if you're going to get to your destiny or destination, whichever word you prefer.
If you don't know exactly where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else. That's not rah-rah: if you don't know precisely where you're headed in ten years, it's unlikely that it'll be the place of your dreams. As long as your actions of today are the same as yesterday, you're an ass if you believe you'll get any improvement in results tomorrow. Science tells us that such things can't happen... ...or at least that they haven't happened in the past few thousand years. Improve your actions today, you'll reap fruit tomorrow.
